Each of our Personal Trainers is certified by nationally recognized certifying fitness organizations. Continuing education is required in order to keep abreast of industry standards and to retain certifications. Each one also keeps a current CPR/AED First Aid certification up-to-date.

Adam Ekstrom

CPT, PES, BS is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Trainer (CPT), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), who has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and is experienced in designing customized fitness programs for pre-teen through older adults.

Prior to entering the fitness industry, he was a Marine for 8 years and uses his passion to develop programs and promote fitness and healthier lifestyles.

Eddy Flex


CPT is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer, who loves to transform his clients. Eddy was born in Kenya and has always had a passion for fitness. He is a former professional Rugby athlete.

Eddy has been a certified personal trainer for over 13 years. He is from Kenya and has managed “Monti Rink” in Monticello, an event center and personal training facility for eight years. Eddy developed C60 functional fitness programs. C60 stands for Choice 60 minutes because his philosophy is “When it comes to fitness, YOU are the author of your destiny.”  Eddy joined My House Fitness – Coon Rapids in January of 2019 and is energized when helping others reach their fitness goals by providing individual or group personal training, boot camps and fitness classes. Eddy loves music almost as much as fitness, so he often provides live DJ music for fitness classes, boot camps and other events at My House Fitness- Coon Rapids.

Fitness has been a life-long passion of Jeremiah’s. He is living out his dream of helping others LIVE BETTER. He specializes in Youth Fitness.

Sarah Orde

Sarah believes that any BODY can practice yoga. The practice of yoga, through postures, breath, and meditation, brings balance to the mind, body, and soul. Sarah has been practicing Yoga for over 10 years and completed instructor training in May 2019.

Shelly Trainer 1


M.ED, CGFI, Franchisee Owner -My House Fitness Coon Rapids, Certified Group Fitness Instructor (accrediting organization: American Council on Exercise), who holds a Master’s Degree in Education. She is also an ACE designated Senior Fitness Specialist and is a designed Silver & Fit Instructor.

She is a published author of 2 textbooks and a job aid in the travel industry. Shelly is a life-long learner who feels great satisfaction when she can support other professionals’ “AHA” moments. She is the mother of Jeremiah Bormes (other owner) and serves on the board of Northgate Church in Ramsey, MN and Elevate Hope House (start-up non-profit for young mothers).


John Chavez, CPT

Hi everyone my name is John Chavez! I am NASM certified personal trainer. My goal is to promote functional fitness and get you up and going. My passion for fitness came after rehabilitating years of injuries from skateboarding. This helped me view a richer quality of life and would like to pass on that same experience! During my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, composing music, and spending time with my family.


Justin Chenault, CSCS-CPT, B.S.

Justin is Certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association with both Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Justin’s B.S. is in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.

Since 2015, He has worked primarily in a 1 to 1 Fitness training environment with a myriad of different types of clientele. He became experienced in using the Proper Exercise Technique to fix physical issues. Justin’s true passion is to provide high-quality service and help people change their lives every single day.
